Meet Gemma Jensen,

The amazing, award-winning inventor of the J-Pillow travel pillow.

As an ex-flight attendant, Gemma saw firsthand how difficult it is to get good quality sleep when traveling, witnessing countless passengers struggle to find comfort during flights. But it wasn’t until some years later that she came up with the innovative J-Pillow….

“The eureka moment for the J-pillow travel pillow came during a night flight with my family. I was abruptly woken by my head jerking forward, while my children were squabbling over whose turn it was to sit by the window to rest their heads.”

“What was needed and how could I solve this problem? Then it came to me…a travel pillow that would support your head and neck so effectively that it would feel like you had a window seat every time!

When I returned home, I bought a second-hand sewing machine and set to work on making the prototype”.

“While designing the pillow I also drew on my past experiences as a flight attendant with Virgin Atlantic, where I would see passengers struggling to sleep, mainly because the pillows they were using did nothing to support their necks”.

“After more than 200 attempts, the J-pillow travel pillow was ‘born’. Its unique design makes it the world’s first chin-supporting neck pillow.

The J-pillow travel pillow is specifically designed to target the problem areas that prevent you from getting quality sleep while traveling. With its innovative design, the pillow helps you rest better, ensuring you arrive refreshed and ready to enjoy your day, rather than wasting precious time feeling jetlagged. We are honored that it has been chosen as the winner of the British Invention of the Year award.”

How did we get our start?

When I was a flight attendant, I used to feel really sorry for all the passengers struggling to sleep. It became clear to me that there are three main problem areas that everyone faces when trying to sleep sitting up; an unsupported head, an unsupported neck and an unsupported chin.

What problem are we solving?

The J-pillow travel pillow targets these main problem areas and offers ultimate support for anyone trying to sleep while traveling.

What makes our products unique?
